The 592 is lighter and has noticeably more power than the 395 or the 660. It seems to use considerably less fuel than either my 395 or 660. One thing I did like was the power curve is flatter than my 572. The 572 is a screamer and doesn't have much lugging power, but the 592 has power in the midrange and high range.

Next you will need to look at the hp your hyd motor produces, 166inlb=9.6ft lbs. 9.6ftlbs x 4700rpms =8.7hp.The 620 in the USA has a non limited ignition and a different carb. The second edition 600p cylinder was changed to provide 20% more fuel efficiency. Echo also advertised the HP rating of the cs-590 to be around 4hp. Apr 12, 2012. #2. The mufflers are built the same way as the ms361 is. They have a very restricted exhaust. Theres a thread on here that Lakeside53 did on modding the 361 muffler. See if you can find it. It's an easy mod and works pretty good. Me, I like to uncrimp the muffler and pull the whole baffle system out of the muffler.Consider if you shop locally for chain what is available, if you buy saws without bars which bars will be compatible. Husqvarna prefers a 0.050 or 0.058 gauge while Stihl prefers a 0.050 or 0.063 gauge. And in a couple days it is going to be a modded huge belly bar 7900. I have 1 guy running a 42 inch bar with skip tooth chain on a modded 7900 with no problems. Most of the time he runs a 24 inch but when the tree gets that big he uses the 42 inch bar instead of buying a bigger saw.

On a 24" bar with a 4+hp saw they don't hold up real well in the tough cutting. Fine for softwood. I too maintain mountain bike trails with a chainsaw. but in WA state, the trails are long and thousands of feet in elevation. So I ride a bike and carry the saw on my back - so saw weight is an important factor. For the most part, I use a Stihl MS260 Pro, which accepts bars from 16 to 24. usually I rock it with a 20, chisel tooth.
